Litsea Cubeba Essential Oil is extracted from the Peppery fruits of Litsea cubeba or famously known as May Chang, through steam distillation method. It is native to China and tropical regions of Southeast Asia, and belongs to the Lauraceae family of plant kingdom. It is also known by the name, Mountain Pepper or Chinese Pepper and has a rich history in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TMC). Its wood is used to make furniture and leaves are often used to make essential oil as well, though it is not of the same quality. It is considered a natural remedy in TMC, and used to treat Digestive issues, Muscle pain, fevers, infections and Respiratory complications.
