Jasmine oil is potent and should be used with care.
- Always Dilute: It must be diluted with a carrier oil (like jojoba, sweet almond, or coconut oil) before applying to the skin. A safe dilution is 1-2% (about 1-2 drops per teaspoon of carrier oil).
- Perform a Patch Test: Always test the diluted oil on a small area of skin (like the inner forearm) first to check for sensitivity.

- Aromatherapy/Inhalation: This is the most common and effective method.
- Diffuser: Add 3-5 drops to an essential oil diffuser to uplift the mood in a room.
- Personal Inhaler: Add a drop to a tissue or cotton ball and inhale deeply for an immediate mood boost.
- Steam Inhalation: Add 1-2 drops to a bowl of hot water, drape a towel over your head, and inhale the steam (keep eyes closed).
- Topical Application:
- Skin & Massage: Mix the diluted oil and apply it to the skin, wrists, temples, or use for a relaxing massage.
- Bath: Mix 5-10 drops with a tablespoon of carrier oil or full-fat milk before adding to a warm bath to help the oil disperse properly.
- Pregnancy Precautions: Due to traditional beliefs that it can stimulate uterine contractions, it is often recommended that pregnant women, especially in the first trimester, avoid using jasmine oil or consult a healthcare provider first.
