We are ecstatic and overjoyed by the aroma of this hydrosol as you will be too!  Jasmine grand is a hydrosol you will want to use for the sheer enjoyment of its beautiful aroma. While most Jasmine hydrosols are produced by distillation/washing of the concrete used to make the absolute, we found this amazing Jasmine hydrosol, lovingly artisan hydro-distilled by a master distiller in France.  He distills specifically for producing a natural Jasmine grandiflorum hydrosol.  The idea of solvent remnants, even in trace amounts, in a hydrosol made from the concrete is most off-putting.  The producer of this rare hydrosol makes very small batches allowing the flowers to rest immersed in the water chamber prior to hydro-distillation.  The amount of flowers required, along with the painstaking method of hydro-distillation lends to the premium quality of this French imported hydrosol.  Needless to say, it is truly a rare treat!

Worlds apart from others we sampled that were obviously made from the concrete, and even some we suspected were nothing more than synthetic jasmine fragrance oil emulsified into water.  Because Jasmine flowers do not distill well for producing an essential oil it is always produced as an absolute.  We’ve even read that Jasmine hydrosol does not exist, but as distillation technology has improved along with artisan proprietary techniques those writings are simply outdated.   It is however still true that one must exercise caution because the majority of Jasmine hydrosols available in the marketplace are not naturally produced, are produced from the concrete, or are a synthetic scented product.

This Jasmine hydrosol in marvelous to spritz face or add to face care products such as serums or blend with clay to formulate a soothing and calming face mask.  Jasmine is the happiest, most soothing, gem of an aromatic we’ve come across in any hydrosol.  While it is true that hydrosols are not generally known to smell exactly like the corresponding essential oil, this Jasmine hydrosol is truly the exception.  Consider blending with one of our Rose hydrosols or Sandalwood Royal hydrosol for a decadent bed linen spray!  For a special occasion try spritzing on to hair or can also be used as a body spray.
