Itching – very effective at soothing skin allergies.  Spray over the area of concern as often as needed.

Eyes – soothe itchy, burning eyes by soaking cotton balls in hydrosol and placing them directly on the eyes. Keep your eyes closed.

Bed linen – mist over your pillow and bed linen to lightly fragrance with therapeutic aromatics to support a restful sleep.  Also can add to a diffuser to encourage relaxation + sleep.

Sunburn – mist over sunburnt skin to help soothe, calm and hydrate.

Facial Mist – tone, soothe and hydrate the skin before applying a face serum or cream.  Think of hydrosols as a botanical toner for your face except without the alcohol, synthetic fragrances and who knows what else that can be added!  They are 100% pure, beautifully hydrating, toning and soothing with lots of healing goodness from the plant.

Skin – very effective at soothing skin irritations + inflammations, especially helpful at relieving acne, rashes, nappy rash, itchy spots and redness.  Can make a compress to hold the hydrosol on the affected area longer.

Emotional Support – calming and sedative – mist around yourself when feeling agitated, tense and stressed.  Helps to calm and soothe heated emotions.  Can either mist around you or add to a diffuser to create an environment that is soothing and calming.

The chamomile we use in our hydrosol is picked in the morning straight from our very own spray-free Chickweed Apothecary gardens.  We then distill following a centuries old process using our beautiful copper Alembic Still to produce the chamomile healing botanical water (hydrosol).

At Chickweed Apothecary our distillation process is performed in small batches, gently and intentionally, working with the plant and the seasons.
